Factory 300 Win Mag, Rem 700 5R vs Sendero

Im looking for a factory heavy barrel 300 Win Mag rifle. Which is the better out of the box precision rifle between the Remington 700 5R and the Sendero? I can get the 5R with a 24" threaded barrel for around $1100 and the Sendero without the threaded barrel looks to be about $100-150 more.

Which is the better out of the box rifle?

the remington factory 5r is one the more accurate factory offerings. I would choose it over the sendero. especially with the threaded barrel at that price point

flip a coin. neither one will shoot better out of the box. let me put that differently ... you could get a lemon with either one. but factory remington heavy barrels typically shoot pretty well.

if you are dead set on getting a brake (not a bad idea with a .300 mag), get the pre-threaded version. simple

Toss up..... I like the 5R stock and barrel more.

Go with the 5r and the threaded barrel and get a brake or can and be happy.

I own a 26 inch barreled 5R and love it and had a friend who owned a Sendero.With that said they both shoot really well,but with the 5R already threaded taking out the smith work I'd go with the 5R.Plus the 2 inch difference shouldn't hurt that much.
