What in your experience have been the fastest ar 15 triggers?
I enjoy challenging myself with fast split times at 10-20 yards. So far my fastest trigger has been the geiselle 3 gun with my fastest splits at .12. And averaging around 1.5 seconds on 10 rounds.
I’ve also had good success with the jp roller in the past.
However, I would like to experiment with other fast triggers if you guys have suggestions?

Right now I’m testing the LT single stage MBT, it’s got more travel than a G trigger but I’m just as fast. For $80 you’re not going to find a better race trigger.

Maybe a RA 535 from Rise Armament? No take up, and the creep you have to focus on as you very slowly squeeze the trigger. Otherwise you could say there is no creep. It is that imperceptible.

Another option is the Triggertech AR Diamond. Adjusts to 2.5# and feels smooth as glass and breaks like it as well.

I have used most of the trigger mentioned in this thread but now I am switching over to HiperFire triggers. They are some of the best triggers I have felt. They are also super easy to adjust without tools.

And considering they hit with a lot more energy than a typical trigger their lock time has to be quicker.

I am going to purchase the ra535 and the hyperfire on the recs here, and test those out. I think i very short reset might give me the extra edge, we'll see how it works out.

With regards to the ar gold, i've owned a few. One of them shoot very well, the second one I would get trigger freeze way too often. Are those triggers easily adjustable? Someone had mentioned to me to send the trigger in to change the pull, and not try to do it myself.

I sold all my Geissele's and run ATC AR Golds in everything. Not sure on fastest, but I definitely prefer it as it runs fast...and it also acts like I want it to in a precision setting as well.

Confirms my thoughts. The only trigger I have ever touched that I liked better than my AR Gold's is the TriggerTechs, and I am just not ready to change that many triggers out....yet.

this is super interesting. I just bought the elftmann three gun based on this. seems to have the least amount of overall travel.

I prefer the two stage feel of the TT and AR Gold's. When running the gun hard, you will never know its there and the reset is so short on these triggers there is no way you will ever short stroke it. But when I go prone or go supported for a longer shot, I appreciate the ever so slight take up and wall. I have never understood the fascination with a defined hard reset on an AR trigger with a reset that is as short as the TT and AR Gold is. The triggers basically reset under recoil and it's impossible you won't be ready for the next round so who cares if you feel and/or hear it? It's not a pistol...

I used to do a lot of 3 gun. Ive owned the SD3G, the Hiperfire 24c, CMC, and AR Gold. Of those my favorite was the 24c. I liked the Gold but it has a little take up like a 2 stage, the reset was a tad weak and i prefer just a single stage. The SD3G is fast but has a rolling break feel to it that wasnt my cup of tea.

I recently tried a Timney Calvin Elite AR trigger and that is by far the best. Short reset, no take up or creep (my 24c has a tiny bit of much in it), light, and super super fast. Im going to be making the switch to it shortly.

Geissele's SSA-E is pretty nice as well. Two stage 1.5 first 1.5 second. You can get it going pretty quick once you get a feel for it. That coupled with the mid to long range 1.5lb second stage for slower shots makes it a winner in my book.

The JM Pro feels wonderful as well. It feels like a lot less than 3lbs when adjusted down to the lowest setting.

I think the 3 best options at the moment are:

- TriggerTech AR Diamond
- AR Gold
- Calvin Timney Elite

I am going to be putting my AR Gold up for sale as soon as I get around to taking some pics if anyone's interested in saving some money vs new/retail. Send me a DM if interested. It was my favorite AR trigger until I tried the TriggerTech Diamond.

I also like the Elftmann triggers, but they don't get as light. 2.75 lbs is about as low as they will go, and I prefer more in the 1.5-2 lbs area.

Also, even though I can use both just fine, I think I like the "2 stage with a really light initial take up" style of the AR Gold & TriggerTech Diamond a little bit more than the single stage with no take up. It feels like a 1911/2011. Something about being able to prep with that light initial take up feels good... especially when trying to be more precise. Some people prefer an immediate wall with no take up though.

I bought the efltmaan 3 gun. Took me a long time to do the install, contacted elftmaan and they got me back on track.

With regards to the strong reset, I do like it as it might make it easier and faster for the reset to occur and hopefully cut my splits. I'll test it shortly.

so having issues with the elftmaan trigger. When i adjust the trigger at low weight pull (2lbs) i get constant light primer strikes (tried various ammo both steel and brass). At the heaviest trigger pull (4lbs), i get intermittent light primer strikes. I've spent many hours on this trigger, and even with Elftmaan's help (which they are super responsive), I can't get it to work properly. They are going to send me a new trigger, but I really don't know if I want to mess with it anymore. i might just sell it, take the loss, and go back to the geissele 3 gun.

How has others experience been with the elftmaan's?

I was torn between the two, but decided on the elftmaan due to the strong reset. The trigger seems nice but I just can’t get the thing to work consistently and there is only so much time I can spend testing new triggers. My estimate without counting range time is that I’ve spent over four hours messing with, installing, and adjusting the trigger.
