I was wondering if any one has tried to compare the drop tables of the 175 SMK with the hornady 190 btsp? i have a good Rem 700 30.06 that i use for hunting. i have compared the FDAC slides for the 175 smk and i think i have found that with the same start speed. they have almost identical drop profiles. i have not proven this to my self in the field yet. just playing around with numbers on the computer. any thoughts?

Re: FDAC SLIDES with Hornady 190 BTSP

KCAK,

You're correct in your comparison between the Hornady 190gn BTSP and the 175gn SMK bullet that the FDAC is designed around. The Hornady 190 tracks right along with the 175 SMK when fired at equal velocity (within +/- 0.2 mils) out to 800 yards, then they begin to separate a bit more. If you're shooting those 190's inside 600, it just about identical. This similarity in performance applies to both elevation and windage.

I've shot these, using the FDAC, in every .308 we have at work, all the way out to a grand.

Hope it helps, and thanks for your interest in the FDAC.
