This is the gun that started it all for me in 1986 in ROTC. I learned 3 Position shooting with this rifle in high school. Those were the days.
These were an Olympic grade pellet rifle in the early 80s and will punch a single hole at 20 meters. Out of nostalgia, I purchased this one when I taught my son to shoot 13 years ago. It functions flawlessly. Piston is still pretty fresh though I haven’t chronographed it. It also includes a new piston cup as well as a few extra front sight inserts. If you are unfamiliar with these, it’s a single shot side lever. .177cal pellet. Designed specifically for 20meter shooting. Weighs about 10lbs
And it’s still a tac driver rifle. Still prints single hole groups if you have it in you.
Rear peep sight is original to the gun.
I ok’d it with my son so we are selling it to fund a new build.
Asking price is $850 shipped. I figured I’d post here before eBay only because I knew this crowd better.
Or WTT for an action. Preferably Origin, but open to others that take readily available prefits. anything that proof sells prefits for. ARC CDG, Defiance etc etc. New or clean Solus. .
Also open to short action REM 700chassis, KRG, Solus, mdt

Almost forgot, the triggers on these are ridiculous. I don’t have a scale. But if you can feel the pad of your finger, and then someone blows on it, it breaks. I remember one of the shooters in school failed to de-cock his rifle on the line, laid it down a bit too hard and the next thing you know, Col. Cook had a pellet in his shoe down range. Crispy.
