Spotters FFP Spotters: Leupold Mark 4 vs Bushnell LMSS2

I'm looking to pick up a spotter and have narrowed it down to the Leupold Mark 4 12-40 (H32 inverted) or Bushnell LMSS2 8-40 (H32).

Looking for an insight/real world comparisons to help me decide if the Leupold is worth the the extra 1k.

I have the Mk4 12-40 with the TMR reticle. I had the Athlon Cronus (?) before.

I like the Mk4. The glass is solid and it is a proven system. It gets beat up and still performa. The 12x works great with clip ons and there is the badger SLICK or other systems to run things like that.

The TMR reticle isn't my favorite but it does leave the image uncluttered and is usable even at 12x to gauge wind holds or misses.

I think I paid $800 for mine a few years ago used.

Bushnell Legend T-Series 15-45x is worth a look as well if you’re considering any options outside those two. I think the glass quality is quite exceptional for the money and it has a Mil reticle
