So up until 2 years ago I have always had a precision rifle and shot quite often. Life circumstances forced the sale of my higher end rifles. After several months of saving and searching for deals I purchased two rifles this week. They are not top of the line by any means but they will be better than nothing at this point. I picked up a slightly used Savage FCP-K 308 from a local pawn shop for a heck of a good price. I put on a weaver 20MOA base, millet steel rings, and a Konus Pro 6.5x25x42. I also ordered a Karsten cheek piece and tactical bolt not, as well as a Blackhawk pivot bipod. I also picked up a 700 barreled action with a Douglas 1:7 twist 223 barrel and a timney trigger on another forum. This week I got it bedded into a HS Precision take-off stock. I stuck on a weaver base and a set of Leupold rings with a Hawke Varmint SF 6x25x42 scope. Like I said not the most high quality rigs but they will get me shooting again. I should make it to the range tomorrow and I am very excited to see how they do. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how...
