Finally got to join the AI club!

Well with an AICS anyway. Just got it all put together with the AICS and bolt knob. The skins are FDE but I liked it more in pictures than I did in real life and they had some scratches so I threw a coat of Krylon on em.

The bolt knob is a hollowed phoenix from AZPrecision. I could not be happier with the knob, install, service and price. I recommend him to anyone looking for a knob.

you will love it. The knob is very solid. I haven't had a chance to shoot with either of the new additions yet but hopefully tomorrow.

Yah, I always thought they looked cool but I went to a shoot a couple weeks ago and got to handle my first one and I had to have one.

You might want to try the AI bipod; most either love it or don't like it much. I think it's great!

How did you prep the skins for paint. Just throw it on there? Looks good man, I love my aics.

I an working on a spigot for the Harris right now. We will see how that goes first.

As for prep, they were painted cammo before so I used citristrip which worked like a charm and didn't hurt the skins at all then cleaned all that off with dish soap. Then used a spray can of paint prep stuff from an auto supply store. I have used it before for a lot of different materials I was preping for paint. Seems to have stuck great. Only time and abuse will tell though.

Looks good, I like it better that color than the way it looked before. I'm glad your happy with it. By the way I'm very happy with the carbine. I'm looking forward to seeing your range report.
