Well I went back thru a week and a half's worth of posts here and did not find anything so I hope this is not a duplicate topic.
Today while perusing the local gun paradise I came across the new Savage Tactical Mk II rifle. It has the fluted barrel of an LTR, 2 piece picatinny-type bases (though I suspect Weaver dimensions), a copy of the A5 McM stock but done in wood and on a slightly smaller scale yet covered in a fiberglass that would trick the eye to think it was a fiberglass McM. Accutrigger too. Oh and their own tacticool bolt knob to boot. All in all a nice looking, nice handling stick.
Price was $419, $50 under MSRP, and I can see why this thing might get some traction in the market. The exact model I held per Savage's web site is the "Mark II TR".
Anybody shot one yet?
For some reason the TR photo will not download, so here is the TRR model with a few more rails on it. NOTE - neither pic on Savage's site shows the bolt knob and the actual stock has a more A5-like forend on it than shown in the pics.
