Has anyone used the pull through style finish reamers on a short chambered barrel? I'd been looking at having a rifle of mine rebarreled and started thinking about doing it myself today. I have machine shop/CAD experience, but don't have the opportunity to use a lathe for this particular project. It would be a 7mm WSM short chambered Kreiger ss barrel put on a blued Browning A-bolt II .308. Also the 7mm WSM uses the same bolt head as a 300 WSM, right? Thanks.

Re: finish chambering

Don't know about the WSM issue,
but I have used a pull through reamer,
It worked ok, you better have a bad ass drill,

and remove/clean/lube often.....
The chamber cut was satisfactory, but not as nice as a lathe cut chamber.... and I did worry about what the rod was doing to the rifling that it was spinning in...

( was helping a buddy turn his enfield into a 308 about 5 years ago, I strictly chamber by lathe now)
