Does anyone have experience with the Volquartsen Firefly bolt? I had one installed on my Ruger 22 charger and it worked well for a while. Lately it’s failing to feed with subsonic ammo. I thought it was designed to cycle subsonics reliably. 1 or 2 rounds and jams. Accuracy is unaffected. Even after a deep cleaning it still jams. It will cycle regular ammo. Thanks for any input, help and opinions.

I have a Firefly in my charger. I run the stiff spring and shoot CCI standard velocity with no problems at all. Maybe your magazine is dirty and not feeding properly? Are you using the the same ammo as before the problem started or have you changed it up?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I was restricted and could not reply earlier to your response. We tried both springs. Decided to factory bolt back in. Everything works good. Standard velocity was never the issue and one of my favorites. I bought the bolt because I really enjoyed shooting the quiet 710’s and 835’s along with numerous other suppressor rounds. Oddly it cycled well for a while then consistent jams. I have it and will think twice before putting it on another gun. I admit I do have a lot to learn.
