This shitty video by a tipsy cameraman was shot last night at a friend's place.
He dumped about $1400 into fireworks and remote controlled launch equipment. A damned great show for a redneck backyard cookout hay field drinkfest good time!

You should be doing a show out over your pond if you want to kick it up a notch. Back when my parents were in good health, the neighbors all gathered at the pond in front of their house every 4th. We mowed a place where they could set out their lawn chairs and blankets. They provided all the fireworks. Spectators on one side of the pond, and about 4 guys on the other side launching them. The water really doubles the spectacle.

Edit: Just read what I wrote and it sounds like a safety issue. Actually, it was the safest way, plus it allowed the spectators to view them over the water. They put up sheets of plywood to launch from behind, just in case one were to to astray from a bad launch.

Not a bad job filming and didn't even fall down. I'd call that a win. Now what I'm really waiting for. The 2017 epic fails sure to be showing up on youtube and liveleak. Should be a good year. You know, with people obviously getting stupider and stupider as we trudge along dumbing down the masses. I think the Chinese call this the year of the Darwin, right?

We've done them at the house before over the pond. I didn't get any this year and my buddy called me up and said he'd just gotten back from SC with $1400 worth of goodies, so we went to his place this year.
When we do them at the house I mount them on my utility trailer and pull the whole setup to the opposite side of the pond with the Polaris. Spectators assemble on the boat dock and surround hillsides. I will be getting some of this remote launch equipment, because lighting and ducking manually just sucks.
