All scopes should be as long as the barrel

Are you planning to remove the forward optic mount and replace the hand guard with the cut-out?

This will trim some weight and give you a cleaner look.

Very nice, there is an undeniable cool factor about big scope little gun. I now have a tremendous soft spot for SOCOM 16s; got to put 10 rounds through a Sage EBR-chassis'd 16 yesterday. Now I must have one, preferably with a Nightforce 2.5-10x32 riding shotgun...
