This is the first buck my son had to work for. We spotted him at 1300 Yds and while we were thinking about using the TRG or making the 5 mile stalk he bedded down out of sight and made the choice for us.

It took 12 hours to walk around and come down on top, shoot, bone, and pack it back to camp.

It was shot on public land in Eastern Oregon.
These are the canyons in the Northeast that feed down to the Snake River.
Not a lot of bucks worth shooting this year. Only found one like this in 5 days of hunting.
