Finally made it out with the Winchester 75t I purchased a while back. I am thoroughly happy with the rifle. After a full cleaning of the trigger assembly, bolt, and gun in general it shoots really well. The trigger on the rifle surpasses all my expectations, and it simply hits what it is aimed at. At both 25 and 50 yards shots from a seated position slung up at 2-3" steel targets were easy. Not terribly impressive, but for a modest shot first time out with an unfamiliar rifle and a variety of ammo I was quite happy. I don't have group shots yet, though I have all the ammo lined up to see what it likes. I hope to get out again Sunday for a more extended range session with that goal.
There is something terribly honest about shooting a simple old .22 with a long barrel and classic sights. I can tell this will likely become a rather expensive collection someday. This type of shooting instantly takes me back to the Boy Scout rifle range at summer camp. Can't beat those kinds of memories or feeling like you did back then for anything.
Thanks again to everyone who helped me make the decision to purchase this rifle. I couldn't be happier. Pics Sunday.
