Looking for first scope in FFP. Primary use NRL.Would also like to bench 0-100yds.
Magnification range of 6-24 or there about.
Prefer small floating dot.Illumination ok. But not necessary.
This will go on anschutz 1416 with 25 moa rail.
Budget up to $800.Ideally $500 mark.

Subject FFP. 6-24 scope.If center dot is .2 at 100yds 24x.What would dot size be at 24x 50yds &200yds?

To answer your question...the beauty of ffp is that .2mil is .2mil. That never changes no matter the magnification or distance. If you are asking what .2” will be at different distances then you need to really reconsider the need for an ffp scope.

Save up till you can afford a non disposible optic or pick a different hobby. Thems is the breaks. Add in ammo, travel, accessories ,ect and the optic is the cheap part.

Most of the crap in that price range ( and yea it's mostly crap) is cheap China and asian imports with a history of failure, coupled with a product you won't be able to give away in 5 years. On the flip side, a quality optic will at least hold some value even after it becomes obsolete. 15 year old S&B's are worth about what they cost back then.

You likely won’t see a center dot that is .2 mil. A large dot would be considered .075 mil. That zero after the decimal makes a huge difference.

For the sake of example though, let’s say it was .2 mil. Also let’s say that linear measurements matter(they don’t).

1 mil = 3.6” at 100 yds.

So at 200 yrs it’s 7.2”

It’s 36” at 1000 yds. So, you get the idea.

.2 multiplied by 7.2” = 1.44” at 200 yds.

It would be 1.8” x .2 at 50yds.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions more detailed or take a look at some of the forum topics on this.
