First, a tip of the hat to Jerry Malbeck and Abner @ FoxPro.
They guided me in the right direction on a CS24.
Went out after work today and tried a set. No luck on the first one but I wasn't too happy with the way I had come into it, so not too disappointed. Moved
to a second location, wind and terrain was real good for this set. Started with a jack rabbit in distress, nothing. Then went to Cal's Kittens call and within 5 minutes had this one come in at a fast trot. Spotted him out about 150 yards making a beeline for the caller. I followed him through the sage brush until he was about 60 yards out from and 20 yards from the caller. Crap,I had to stand to make the shot, and my instict shots have been leaving a lot of educated yotes. As I was standing, he stopped and looked right at me. I just squezzed one off and knocked him down with a 155 Nosler CC out of my DPMS LR AP-4 308.
Damn was that fun or what!
FoxPro CS24, DPMS LRAP-4 in 308, dead yote.
