There's no way that Trump is going to get a fair shake, whether or not he has complicated his issues through his own naivete or stupidity, and there's no way that a sizable minority are going to stand the idea of a President Pence in the wake of a successful move against Trump.

Trump has already been found guilty in the court of public opinion, based upon Comey's "notes". Perfect.

If ever there was a reason to never give an inch to a liberal, this is it. Conversely, Trump needs to reel in his ego. The culture in DC will not tolerate the level of antagonism that Trump has been dishing out without striking back and going for the jugular. My fear is that right or wrong, the libs will mount a successful impeachment campaign that will embolden the libs to the point where life will become very difficult for a lot of people.As much as I hate to say it, this isn't over yet, by any means.

BTW, just this minute, I cancelled my Amazon Prime Membership. Fuck Bezos. I'll still do my comparison shopping there, I just won't buy anything on Amazon any longer. I'm under no delusion that it's going to make any difference to anyone, but I'll be damned if I will continue to knowingly contribute to the enrichment of that prick. I feel better already. In fact, if I find a product that is exclusively on Amazon, I will contact the manufacturer and let them know that I won't be purchasing their product because I have no choice of where to buy it. That's where Amazon is headed anyway, squeezing all the little guys out.

This is getting nuts. They've named Robert Mueller as Special Counsel for an official FBI probe into the Russia-Trump issue. The long knives have come out, and it's going to get even uglier. I do not see an easy transition/relinquishment of the Presidency, were it to come to pass, if even the smallest accusation of extraofficial and illegal activity therein any such prosecution were to come within a whiff of credibility. I do think we're gonna see a fight such as never before.

ETA: Mueller was appointed by USDA for MD, Rod Rosenstein, who had tendered his resignation upon Trump's inauguration. The Trump administration refused to accept it. A really smooth move, it seems.

I don't think so. They have to prove a crime. So far what they have is that he may have made a sugestion to Comey to not investigate something. That is not against any law, fer cryin out loud the FBI works for the President. Then "He shared classified info with Russia" well the people who decide what is classified and who is cleared to see it work for people who work for the President.....So their authority to classify/declassify material or give someone a clearance to see info comes from the President. So it follows clearly that the president can share classified info with whoever he wants to share it with.

What else have they got? Has he been letting Hillary Clinton visit the WH. The way things stand today any represenative or senator who voted to impeach or convict Trump would be neglecting their constitutional duty. Should that trial start then it might be time for about five million of us to march on DC and remind them of their responsibilities.

Well, Don, no, there is no proof, but they, being those with the most to gain from discrediting and deposing Trump, are on a holy quest. You think we've seen riots so far? No Pence is not the answer.

The govt doesn't get a second chance to choose the President when it doesn't like the outcome of the election.

Trump is basically a lame duck now. With the shadow of invest hanging over him there is no leverage he can apply during political dealings.

His only hope is what got him into office......the people. He has to double down on what got him into office. Everything we voted for borders, anti crime, pro economy, responsibility.........is on hold right now. The voters need to get rid of the roadblocks. For 8 years it has been "if only in the next election" well it appears it's still the same. McCain, Graham, Ryan they have to go. The likes of Schumer et, al are here to stay their votes are paid for.

It would help Trump a o get rid of the people in his cabinet that are telling him not to be Trump. He is better when he steps off rather than when he half steps. He has half stepped on health care, Iran, our borders. It makes him weak and vulnerable.

Trump has had a history of polishing turds over the last 18 months, now is his time to shine.

I'm observing this from afar in disbelief . ( Aus ) Trumps people need to hire a high end ad agency to turn this
around asap . First thought was legal people , but as this is a bullshit information war , then hire bullshit
information specialists...
As far as ' giving away state secrets goes ' , you gotta be fucking kidding me ! There are daily briefings from intel
agencies especially between US / Russia , in addition to the obvious comms between close allies . It's the glue
that keeps a lot of shit together . There are sadly , folks in intel jobs laughing their asses off at this ...

Your observations are based on what the media is telling you. I hope you are reading as many sources as you can because what is considered "main stream" is in collusion with the establishment.

You have to pay attention to what the main stream refuses to report. Even when you do read what they reference you will see somewhere in the body of the story there will be a turn around that refutes the sensational headline by noting "there has been no signs of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia". Oddly they still fear libel laws I guess.

You as a non US citizen should be concerned that one of our political parties would consider it okay to try and create conflict between the worlds two biggest nuclear armed powers just to maintain their power.

This is a world problem and probably related to the goals of the Davos attending minority to keep the idea of one world govt planning everything for the world going.

They want the Star Trek Federation and think that an elite should rule all us serfs. I love my country and its standard of living/culture. I don't want my kids to have a shitty life because its determined we live too well and some third world shithole should take what we have built. Really where he screwed up is when he once entered office he thought he could throw the Dems some bones and they would be friends.

He should have never let up on Hillary - she will come back to screw him.

He should have never let Sessions recuse himself from the fake Dem investigations

Perhaps he should have even kept Flynn and waited for the evidence.

He should have shut down govt over that shameful budget.

He should have scrapped Ocare as he said he would. Let Capitalism fill the void.

He should be building the wall while the corrupt courts bicker and fight. Obam did that when his dream act was stalled.

You missed my point entirely, it has nothing to do with any of this. Neither does what I'm "sure" about (which is nothing, and why do you think that is an important question?). My point is that I find it remarkable that you think the words "in fairness" can be used anywhere near the events happening here. There is no evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians, yet he is under investigation for just that. "In fairness," that could never happen. Then you said, "In fairness, Pence never said..." My point to you is, given what they're doing to Trump, what do you think will stop them with Pence? It certainly won't be "fairness", or "truth", etc.

You seem to think it's "cool" (name of your emogee) that they might find evidence AFTER this investigation is concluded. That is a fundamental abuse of an investigation. If there is no evidence, there is no justification for an investigation to start. Would you be cool with someone starting an investigation against you, with no evidence of wrongdoing on your part? Would you be "sure" they wouldn't find any after it is concluded?

2. The Independent Councel isn't tasked with investigating Trump specifically. It is specifically the investigate the Russian interference with the 2016 election. It may change later depending on what gets found along the way. Trump is in danger only if there is any dirt to be found.

However, I do think that during the course of the VALID and JUSTIFIED investigation, there is a high likelihood of dirt of some kind being found on Trump and/or his kids. Maybe/Maybe not Russia related. THEN a secondary investigation will commence based on THAT evidence and THAT investigation into Trump will be justified by THAT evidence.

Somebody pointed out to me that Trump should have pursued charges and investigation of Clinton immediately . It would have started dismanteling the swamp right off . If he were to try that now it would look like retribution . Fuck libatard opinion he should get some lawyers together , find out what he can do inside of the law and start cleanin fuckin house with a big fuckin bull dozer in DC . I believe that all of the arguments on whether , if and how Trump gets fucked is moot . In 7-8 years we will either have lost all of our liberties , firearms and self dignity or we will be rebuilding a nation . Not if but when . I don't think that President Trump did anything wrong, but he is the president, and it is his job to protect innocent Americans. If the Special Counsel starts even looking in the direction of any of President Trumps Children he should issue a blanket pardon for all anything they may have done before today. I think that would pull the blanket out from under the special counsel.

The Constitution explicitly states "...except in cases of impeachment" in regards to the pardon clause. I am not a Constitutional attorney (and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night), but I would think that would be a sticky wicket. On one hand, his kids obviously are not subject to an impeachment action. However, if Trump made preemptive pardons in what could eventually become an impeachment process, I would think the obstruction of justice claims would only intensify and the already thin moral high ground would all but disappear.
