Got my new build out to the range today. Put 80 rounds through it. Ran perfectly, no malfunctions of any kind. A little overgassed with SA gas block wide opened, vented it 7 clicks and got a nice ejection pattern and softened a bit. Goups seemed to tighten up a bit through the session. Last 2 groups on paper were around the 45-55rnd mark and just at 1moa @100yds. After that I started banging the steel at the back of the range at ~225yrds. No problem consistantly hitting the 8" plate 4 or 5 out of 5 shots. Next time I'll get some groups at 200yds on paper. Also first time getting behind the Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 and it is awesome. Rifle shoots very soft, no problem seeing splash even at high mag. Reticle barely leaves target. The rifle has more in it. I'm not in love with the Timney Calvine Elite. Had it on the shelf from another build I didn't like it in and thought I would try it again. Swapping a TriggerTech in it. I was shooting Hornady 108gr Match. I'm hoping to eventually stretch it's legs.

Got it out for a second trip today. I learned that I have never had a rifle hate an ammo as much as my 6arc hates Hornady 105gr Black...

Going back to the 108gr ELDM it shot 3 out 5 groups sub MOA and one being a real nice sub .6MOA...

This one was going to be real nice until I choked the 5th.

I honestly could not believe how bad it shot. I was shooting ELDM, switched to the Black and thought something broke. Fed it ELDMs again and it was back to sub MOA.

That's crazy, I've had really good results In my Paul Ross Bartlein, 105 Black is averaging .5 MOA out of the Gate. I've only got 30rds down the tube but I'm going to try the 108's and 80 VT next.

I was really surprised, but shooting the 108gr before and after I don't know what else to think other than my barrel just hates them...lol

Got a chance to shoot some 80gr V-Match today. The rifle seemed to like them as much as it likes the 108gr ELDMs. It was really windy but still shot 4 out of 6 groups sub MOA. Next time I am out and winds are calm, I'll shoot the V-Match and ELDMs and see which one is tightest. This was the tightest today, but on a calm day I am pretty sure it could do better.

Nice! If you haven’t done so already and you still intend to get into reloading Id definitely be saving all the brass from these range trips.

Thanks. I have a buddy that recently got a 6arc and he reloads so I have been picking them up. Probably have ~150 pieces. I'm going to get them to him and he is going to load me up a few loads to try.

Nice build. What’s the weight before the scope, any idea?
Crazy how barrels differ so much. Black was great in my Proof. You should get some faster speeds over time as the barrel breaks in. Hand loads certainly will have velocity gains.

Got to stetch it out to ~660yds today banging some steel. Range had 10" gongs at 150yd and 250yds. 12" gongs at 350yds, 450yds, and 550yds. 14" square at 600yds. Hit everything but the 550 target on the first shot. After adjusting windage hit it the next two. It has all kinds of steel at the 660yd berm. Hit the goat target 3 out of 4 with no issue. First shot I underestimate the difference in drop between between 600yds and 660yds. I didn't believe my app the first shot. Going out again this weekend to try some of the smaller stuff at 660yd. I was super impressed with it.
