Florida woman kills one attacker

I find it odd that they had to preface mentioning the homeowner's weapon with "legally possessed."

It's similar to when I see "fully-loaded." It's superfluous and irrelevant information designed to elicit an emotional response (I suppose). The load condition of a firearm is binary: Loaded vs unloaded. Whether the mag is topped off with one in the chamber or it's loaded with a single round does not change the status or lethality of the firearm.

The same is true with "legally possessed." Does it matter? If it was used in legitimate self-defense, that's pretty much all we need to know. I submit that the possession can be assumed "legal" unless it was ILLEGAL. If it was ILLEGALLY possessed, THEN maybe that information would add some value to the story.

But, otherwise, it's like saying, "He drove his legally possessed car with a current license to the store."

Subtle conditioning!

Something fishy about this. Masked attackers when 3 people are home and they broke his face also. I am not upset that a perp got his due justice. Just seems like there has to be some backstory to this. Or it could just be another day in Florida.

I posted a response in the other thread about this.
Unnamed source said perps and victim may have known each other

My initial thoughts were thinking more to it than revealed. You just never know anymore with all the meanness, was it random, drug related or something personal...
To beat someone makes me think there’s a lot more to the story, also random invasion I don’t see them letting anyone out of their sights...

Female empowerment at it's finest!

Funny you don't see the "Woke" SJW / Feminist / Communist / Democrats talking about women being empowered to protect themselves....
Almost like they want women to be victims & only have the right to kill their babies or make allegations.......

I've actually had that exact conversation with that exact type of person. They told me they were glad they didn't have a gun when they came home (where they live alone) while their house was being burglarized because they "might have killed the guy", and "if I had a gun at the time I would have used it". I shit you fucking not. They basically said they would rather be a victim because even being forced into situations of mortal survival is shameful. I can't think of a single thing I've ever heard which was more entitled and idiotic. They're lucky the dude ran and they didn't get fucking raped to death or kidnapped. It's pure naive entitlement, socio-political affluenza, and nothing about the OP fits their narrative. If anything they'd just come out against it and say "I'd rather be a victim".

I'm assuming what is worse is that said person not only chooses to be a victim but also wants to force you to be a victim (at threat of gunpoint from "The King's Men").

It wouldn't be so bad if they could keep their stupidity to themselves, but they want to make it to be like England and many other countries where you get in more trouble for trying to defend yourself from attack than the attacker would get.

Today's progressives equate victimhood status as a NOBLE status. To be a victim is to be "enlightened." Worse, to express your PREFERENCE to be a future or hypothetical victim is to claim a (warped / delusional) moral high ground.

"I would rather die / let my daughter be raped / watch my wife be brutally beaten than touch an icky gun and become one of 'THOSE PEOPLE'."

See how that works?

It takes A LOT of balls to invade a home. Not knowing if theyre armed or not. Whole other level of stupidity.

If someone ever invaded my home, theyre dead. As simple as that. Always a gun within reach in every room. They better kick in the door and start blasting away. If not, they have no chance.

And my door isnt exactly easy to kick in. And the windows are high. They better bring a ladder.

As far as a “reason” why this family was chosen, it might be retaliation for snitching to the authorities about illegal activities in an otherwise clean neighborhood.

Rhetoric vs logic. They lose every time in a logical debate, so ‘they’ fall back on rhetoric. Feelings, emotion, appeals to irrational fear.

Understand the audience, accurately apply appropriate ratio of logic and rhetoric, enjoy fruits of victory. Persuasion 101.
