Flush Cups and Stock Pack Issue

So my rear flush cup is covered when I put my stock pack on. I vaguely remember there being a thread about this, but I cant find it. How are you guys dealing with this? Cut a hole in the stock pack? Is there some kind of grommet I can buy to sew into the pack? I love my sling and flush cups, but would like to use the stock pack at the same time.

Interested also to hear what others have done. I cut a hole in one of my tac ops and tried sewing around it...didn't work at all, however I can use a sling, it just looks like shit. Thinking about just putting another cup back there out of the way

Spend some time adjusting the position of the stock pack and angle of the straps. It took me a while, but now the most rear strap on the stock pack is just in front of the flush cup on my stock. (eagle pack, manners stock) I'm sure it depends on the specific stock pack and stock, but just mess around with it, the straps on the stock pack don't need to be perfectly aligned with the internal velcro.

The stock is a Manners MCS-T3. The stock pack is the standard size from Triad Tactical. If I slide the stock pack forward enough to expose the rear flush cup, then I can not pull the bolt back to the rearmost position. So I have to figure something else out to make this work.

I had the same problem on my HTG with flush cups. I simply removed the rear strap entirely. If you tighten the other 2 straps super tight, it is enough resistance to hold in place. But to be fair, this is on a hunting rifle, so its not getting shot a whole bunch. On a more tactical/range rifle, repetitive shots my pose a problem.

BapZander is correct - depending upon your particular stock and the brand of stock pack you may be able to position the stock pack so that it clears the flush cups. I use a Tac Ops Stock Pack on my X-Ray 51 and I easily adjusted the strap length and fore-aft position of the Stock Pack on the cheekpiece so that Stock Pack's straps don't interfere with the rear flush cup. My LOP is 13.75", and the front of the Stock Pack is within 1/2" of the leading edge of the comb (I never get that close to the scope anyway thanks to the PMII's eye relief). It's unfortunate that you cut holes in the stock pack on that rifle. Try adjusting the length of the straps, which will allow you to experiment with the Stock Pack position. GL and HTHs.

I started the last thread on this before the site switched formats. The consensus that I got was simply put swivel under pack and dont worry about it. This has been working for me, however I dont really get wild while carrying the rifle on sling. I did contact triad concerning cutting or melting a hole thru the black gel portion, and they said they didn't recommend it due to the content of the pad. If you come up with any other good ideas let us know!

Triad looked at the flush cup issue,tryin to come up with a "hole" solution. Too many stock options and the location of the bushing is not consistent, so we do not have an option where the swivel passes through the stock pack.

We do however offer the most adjustable stock pack option on the market(that we know of).

Like a few others, the securing straps are adjustable for length. The Triad packs are different in that the entire underside of the pack is cover in loop material. This allows you to adjust the angle at which the straps are used. As you can see form the photo, there are two "extra" spots where the bottom straps can be moved if you have a mounting issue to work around. We know of no other product that can do this.

I have seen people run a red hot rod through stock packs to make room for a side mount swivel. Proceed at your own risk......

Triad stock pack is great and I'm able to adjust around my flush cup.

They sell grommet kits at Walmart in the camping section. They are cheap, and I'd only recommend them if it was a one time only job.
