I'm sure this has been covered before, but I haven't been able to find much using the search feature. What are the main differences between the FN PBR and SPR rifles (with regards to the CRF actions)? I have a PBR XP with the 20" fluted barrel and controlled round feeding, so how is it different from the SPR line of rifles? I know the stocks are different, but what else? Thanks!

Re: FN PBR vs SPR?

The original PBR was a push feed (post-64) action, and the SPRs CRF. Then the PBR-XP was released, essentially using the same action as the SPR but with the lower-cost PBR stocks.

What is the difference between the CRF action of the PBR XP and that of the SPR? Is the SPR machined to closer tolerances, etc?

I have both the PBR-XP and SPR actions. From what I can see and feel of my units, other than the rollmark, there is NO difference in the two actions.

....and those differences are???

Are you purposely being cryptic, or is it you simply don't have any idea?
