Looking for some opinions from someone with more experience than me. I am on the verge of procuring a scope for my new 700. This being said I am unsure of whether to go with a mil/mil or moa setup. I am looking at the Millett TRS-1, so I will have the choice. All the range math I have ever done has been in MOA.

I am sure this will come down to an argument like SFP/FFP and some people will like one and one the other, but I'd like to hear everyone's perceived advantages/disadvantages.

Not much debate on SFP/FFP. Each has its advantages and each has its weaknesses. Depends on what you are going to use it for.

The mil/mil and MOA debate is simple. Knobs should match the reticle. If you are used to an mil reticle, then get one with mil knobs.

If you prefer the MOA system, then get a reticle to match MOA knobs.

As long as you go with a matching setup, you remove a lot of math, period, you just don't need to convert mils to MOA for corrections.

No debate there.
