Looking for thoughts and advice on a folding type of stock to make a longer pistol/rifle more backpack sized. I have been eyeing one of the sylvan arms folding adapters which I could put on a 10.5 ar. My question is am I better off going with a platform that has been designed around that (like a scorpion or ??) or those of you who added a folder to your ar have you been pleased with it? Thanks

If you want to shoot it I'd recommend deadfoot arms, they're expensive but they're the only ones that market being able to fire while its folded. If you're doing it purely for storage I think any of the other brands are fine. I've only really heard of law, but they can be pricey due to the hype

I now have 10 Law Tactical Gen3M folders on 9mm / 6.8 / 5.56 / .300 B)'s etc....I believe they are the industry benchmark.
A few of them folded and packed.

personally I think laws are overpriced but the also cornered the market quite well so they can overcharge. I’m not knocking them at all, I think they have a good product, I just think they’re overpriced and they set the price standard for the market

So many folding options that you can actually shoot folded. If you are looking for rifle caliber a SIG MCX may be your cheapest way to get there but you also have B&T APC, ACR, SCAR. Pistol calibers you have the stribog and scorpion as cheap entry level and then its up to MPX, B&T, SP5, etc
