I'm in the middle of doing a big self-funded comparo of every folding stock adapter for rifles that use AR compatible buffer tubes. I'm hoping others can point me to examples I haven't found yet.

So far I've got the following on my list (key is brand, order date, arrival date, raw points score):
Law Tactical - On hand already. 19/20
XLR: Ordered 10/31, Arrived 11/5. 18.5/20.
Doublestar: back ordered.
Leapers/UTG: Ordered 10/31, Arrived 11/9. 10.5/20
MDT: Ordered 11/10. Arrived 11/13. 16.75/20
SB Tactical: back ordered.
Sylvan Arms: Not yet ordered.
Farcebook/scAmazon/FLEAbay: ordered 9/6, received 10/24, broke upon installation. 2.5/20
Hera Arms: ordered 11/15.

I've seen the deadfootarms unit and have a call into them already to see if I can get it without the bolt carrier and other stuff.

If you know of one not represented above that will work on a chassis gun that uses an AR-15 buffer tube to mount the stock, post linky and if you have experience with it, tell us about it.

Also interested. I just ordered a SCS and 2 way locking folder from MDT with their Black Friday Sale. Looking to lighten/compact my LSS Gen2 6.5CM a little bit.

I’m interested in your point scoring system. Care to share?
Pretty basic, I set up a set of 19 things they could do well from double locking, wiggly-ness, ease of operation, ease of install, material selection (steel is best, 7075 next, 6061 next, pot metal last). A wiggle bitch could easily lose 3-4 points just on that factor alone. A final point will eventually come from the sheer physical size, the most compact will with a full point, and the others get disounted by .1 points for each place they are behind the smallest (Hera or SB Tactical almost certainly will crush that one). Other areas where points are awarded included having instructions included with the thing, including everything needed for install, how quickly they showed signs of wear and how severe the wear was. Nothing really non-intuitive. I just thought about what pissed me off or would piss me off and each thing became a point.

You will not feel bad about your purchase. The MDT folder is wonderfully engineered and extremely clever in places. The lockup is nun's snatch tight with no adjustments needed (or seemingly possible). The only thing I really wasn't super hot on was the way the carbine chassis interface snugs up. It's just a single bigass bolt and snugging it up can cause the whole thing to rotate screwing up your clocking. It's about the single most trivial bitch I could have about the thing.

Also interested. I've been looking for a LAW folder. Last one for sale in the PX sold in a few minutes.
There's a reason for that. Check out calguns.net if you're ok paying $400, there was one there last time I was poking around a few days back. Alternately, if you're not using it on a gas gun, I'd highly recommend the MDT or XLR units. They're really super fantastic.

Yeah I have a standard rifle stock on there and now that I've had to clean it a few times, dropping the cheekpiece is annoying. I might even take the gun deer hunting next year if the folder makes it nice to pack.

Sylvan Arms unit arrives Monday. Here's the results of the DoubleStar ACE review.

Cliff's Notes: the ACE is pretty kickass. Probably the strongest unit outside the Law tactical, also so far the most compact unit by far.

Sylvan Arms unit review is done. Cliff's Notes: Don't use gas-gun FSA's on bolt guns. It sucks.
