With regards to "how close I am",,,,,, I haven't found anything yet that I disagree with.

And yes, to comment on AJ's input, I'm not hacking against the NRA. I am bringing this information here, so EVERYONE know's what is being put put there. I don't know how accurate this is, or isn't. But ALL members really should know what really IS going on. I'm hoping that this will at least "start" the conversation.

The problem is the money the NRA makes is based on fear, real or not. And when the 2016 election was coming up they were probably rolling in dough as gun owners became fearful of what Hillary was going to try to do. A lot of people in the industry put their money in a place to make money if Hillary won. But when Trump won the entire gun industry slowed down and so did the money coming into the NRA. IMHO, the NRA suggesting a review of the bump stock was nothing more than an attempt by them to create fear so they can ask for more money.

Far too long they have been more about compromise than fighting. I understand we would be worse off without them but with as much money as they generate we should have had more advances in gun rights, especially since we had the super majority for two years.

Your questions are good and I totally get why you are asking us to pause in our rush to justice. It very well may be that this is being foisted on us members in order to foster discontent and hasten what is a major attack on the organization. However, as members, we should totally be concerned about the possibility that there is financial malfeasance going on in the organization. In today’s corporate financial world, you had better be on top of your finances or be open to attack from opposition parties.

I think its pretty straightforward. It has legs because at the NRA convention its been coming up with infighting and the membership voicing their discontent.

There's a thread on ARF about someone who went and met with some of the BoD at the convention and outside of 1 or 2 of the 'tow the line' people,the rest stated there needs to be a change and also referenced the marketing/financial thing.

I don't think there's much to it. Wayne was in a position to funnel money to a marketing group. He did so to one where his wife has ties. They paid/are paying them crazy amounts of money and no one caught on; I'm guessing because things were great during obama and/or they were conveniently hidden or not asked about.

There's no real agenda other than Wayne is a Ray Kroc level of self enriching faggot and instead of actually guiding the NRA to fucking do anything, he instead has made the NRA become the worst bulk mail/spam phone call organization that there is due to basically generating nothing but click bait 'OMG OMG they're coming for your guns!!!!!!' bullshit.

To answer the question above, the NRA got in to McDonald v Chicago by creating a copycat lawsuits and then demanding time during oral arguments where Clement was working actively against Gura's 14'th amendment P or I incorporation theory.

The only reason I can come up for that is that some idiots thought P or I incorporation would open the door to gay marriage so they sent in Clement to shit can that as much as try to work for our gun rights.

I don't remember anyone from the NRA being at the after party.

Also if they were trying to shut down gay marriage, that didn't really work.

Yes Herr German has a knack for using a few clear words to make his point unlike his former countrymen that use multiple words to express one single idea - "submarine" vs "under sea boat" for example. Kuhlschrank? Really?

I want officers that run the org competently to be compensated for their work. Like anything where there is opportunity for abuse there will be abuse.

Retrench in educating about the Second Amendment, produce firearms safety programs, train new shooters, assist clubs with improvements, and most importantly advocate through the courts when the Second Amendment is violated.

None of the multiple mailings I get weekly work toward any of those goals. The doom and gloom feeds into the commies description of the NRA as the realization of Hydra.

Ive started writing a message - "No money accept dues while you support bump stock bans and red flag laws" - on the request for donations and than mailing the prepaid envelope back to them.

I think everyone is close a lot more information will come out real soon. A lot of the damming information the board wasn't fully aware of. Also there is a number of board members who don't show up regularly the names and stats are out there. As far as timing goes not everyone on the board or employees of the NRA are Wayne fans. Just because some board members are pissed I mean not happy about anything it takes numbers to make changes i.e showing up to vote. There is a good number of board members who think like we do they can't do alone. If they get too frustrated and throw the towel in bad for us there are still fighters in there. Just so you know there's board members who are fully aware of the "marketing problem " and have a difficult time trying to fix it it's been going on for awhile long before the news that we have heard] I'll leave names out . The articles that have came to light some parts are correct some semi bullshit I'm happy for the microscope on the NRA should be a awakening for everyone some board members don't show up very often some had heads in the sand most were not fully aware of the things that went on that was not disclosed by the head honcho. The buck stops there. By no means am I a fan of Wayne.
