Interesting cover but not my style.
Appreciate you considering me though.
As far as vintage Marine....
I did buy this yesterday on Ebay....
WWII cotton khaki shirt. Wanted one since seeing this pic of Elmo Haney being awarded a silver star for heroics on Cape Gloucester...
Bought a replica one a few months ago.....
Big shirt pockets that used to hold Lucky Strikes but now serve well to hide my flip phone. Comfortably sized to adequately cover/conceal my M18 or whatever happens to be the carry of the moment. Handy cover you can wear for days, just having it hang on the door knob ready for use when needed.
Thing about trying to find a WWII legit one is that guys my size were obese giants back than.
The USMC sized these clothes using a numbering system 1 through 6.
Size 2 and 3 shirts are pretty common.
I am a 4 which is roughly 16x33 modern shirt size.
The one I bought yesterday is a 4 and the first one Ive seen that doesnt have a sleeve torn off or some other damage.
Im conflicted which is a better casual shirt..........these khakis or old school US Navy cotton Chambray.
Even harder to find are WWII USMC khaki tropical pants in size 34 waist. A 34 waist was a USMC "Leslie Groves" in that time frame.
I did find a set of 34 khakis awhile ago and they are great lounging semi casual pants. Plenty of ballroom.
The pants came with a size 3 shirt that sport some cool ass Plt Sgt chevrons with the flat rocker and a ruptured duck on the chest.
Anyone that about a 15x32 with no biceps interested in my size 3 get in touch Ill be happy to move it along minus the patches.
@lowlight Ill give you first dibs on the size 3 shirt. Makes a great sunshirt that breathes for when you are out on the range and its good to know it was worn by a Marine at a time Marines were not being turned into pussies.
Due your exalted status Ill even send it to you with the chevrons.
