How have you modified the front end? Any tips or tricks? I'm going to get one of these and want to remove the ugly beaver tail. Using the great Google search, I've seen some folks do great work rounding the front end of these off and I would love to do the same.

What are you guys painting stocks with that's fairly durable?

Another cheaper option is to put a S.O. Tech Sniper Skid Plate on the forearm. All it takes is a couple of strips of Velcro. I had one on my B&C A2 and really liked it, it was comfortable to hold and protects the forearm when you shoot off different objects (saw horse or deer stand). This was my simple solution to the square stock. By the time you by most of those materials you could have bought a different stock. But if you do decide to sand it down definetly don't try to sand by hand because it will take forever.
