Is there any way to attach a pic rail to the underneath? I much prefer an Atlas to a Harris, and was planning on buying the pic rail segment to install it. Badger sells them in 3-packs, but upon inspection, it appears as though there is no attachment on the underside for these rails. On the side, there are holes that are spaced about 2.1 inches apart. Here is what the lower section looks like:

If I take the swivel out, it is not the standard 2.1 inches apart. It is more like 1.0 inches.

I don't have the pic rail segments in hand, so I don't know that there isn't another hole that allows for mounting underneath. Which is why I posted this. What gives?

In all seriousness, if you want to send me one, I'll buy it if it fits, I'll send it back if it doesn't.

Although I really prefer to mount further forward if possible.

Maybe I should just buy a Daniel Defense?

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

What size / pattern is it? I've got a daniel defense on my grendel, (Mid Length) and am contemplateing buying the badger, (all I have is harris Bipods, and they dont bother me much.

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

If that is indeed a slot, why not use the front most stud hole and a nut and washer on the inside of the slot.

Won't work on your grendel.

</div></div>Yes sir, but the holes that are that far apart are on their sides. Other than the bolt/nut/washer idea, I don't see how that would work on the bottom, as there are no holes that are 2.7 inches apart. Check my pic above.

Maybe it comes with adapting hardware though...

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

I re-edited my re-edit, LOL. The length is 2.775, the holes look like they may be inward that .340 you need. From your pic it looks like the muzzle edge of the rail would extend over the end of the handguard a bit if the holes line up.

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

FNG- I would be willing to bet that the holes are 2.1 inches apart- the space between the holes on the side of the handguard (you can see the rail mounted on the side of the "tactical" handguard.) The swivel stud holes are only 1 inch apart.

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

Yes, but this is what BO is saying regarding the tactical model:

Stabilizer Handguard
AR-10 Tactical
Same as the 425-04 but includes a 3 pack of 6 slot Picatinny rail sections that can be attached anywhere along the sides or bottom of the guard.
P/N 425-06

If they're saying it can be attached to the bottom, where would it attach then? I'm curious because I'm leaning towards these purchases as well.

Re: For those with a Badger Stabilizer handguard...

FNG- if you decide to go the Badger route, let me know. I would probably sell you my Stabilizer. I really like and prefer the look of the DD, and you know, it's all about the look! Hahaha
