Guys, I just got my chassis cerakoted and would like to keep the forearm from getting all scratched up on barricades and stuff. I was thinking that someone, maybe KRG, used to make some kind of plastic piece that bolted to the whiskey 3 chassis forearm for this very reason. However, I cannot find that piece now on KRG's website or anywhere else for that matter. Do you guys know what I am talking about and where one can get that piece?

KRG did have a skid plate but that was for the alum hamdguard. Not sure if it will work with the new polymer fore end. Im sure one if the guys will respond once they see your thread. You can call or email them too

Hello, we made a Kydex skid plate for the older style aluminum forend but we don't make those anymore or have any left. The new forends are polymer and so the skid plate was kind of redundant. You could easily get a small piece of kydex though, drill some holes for mounting, throw it in the oven at 350F for a couple minutes, then mold it to your forend.

One thing we had considered before was the grippy tape that goes on steps for traction. There is a rubberized version that is different from the sand paper like version. You could get some of that from Mcmaster Carr and just cut it with scissors. Good luck!

Plus there is that TAB gear skid plate. But yeah, its a rifle, not a Prius, it can take some abuse (not that resting your rifle on a barricade is abuse).

Besides, a worn rifle gets way more cool points than a shiny new cerakote job.
