Forster 338 lapua magnum dies?

Re: Forster 338 lapua magnum dies?

I can only assume that long distance accuracy is a high priority for that caliber. I can't help you with Forster, but would recommend that you get FL bushing dies. I'm using RCBS Gold Medal Match Series. Haven't decided yet on the bushing size for my 338 LM.

Gunstop.com great prices as well as selection. I would suggest the Forster ultra micrometer seating die and a Redding Type S bushing style neck sizing die as well as a body die with .365 .366 and .367 neck bushings (provided you're using new Lapua brass)

Re: Forster 338 lapua magnum dies?

The recommendations for bushings I've seen are for the .364 & .365 bushings as that's what I just ordered for my Redding Comp Neck Sizer. I just saw that Midway shipped my Forster .338 LM Benchrest Seater Die so they must have those in stock now. I'm also going to be using the Redding body die. You might want to consider those 3 dies Utah as those seem to be the best out there for each specific purpose based on recommendations from others.

Did you get the 110 or 111 LRH Utah? I just got my LRH in at home and finally leave AFG in 14 days to go home & shoot.

I have both Redding bushing and Forester 338 standard FL dies. Both are top shelf. I get ZERO run-out with the Forester FL die. Dead nuts on! They are awesome.

Re: Forster 338 lapua magnum dies?

I got the 110 with HS Precision stock. I have the 10fcp with HS stock and it has been great for me. So I look forward to this setup. I have a NF MOAR on the way for my 338.

Forster gave my wife a list of some of their dealers and we were able to track down the dies so I now have them.

I have never used bushing dies I guess I better explore that option. I better read up on how to optimally setup the dies. At 2.50 a whack for brass I really do not want to overwork the brass.
