I want to get a Forster coax press for reloading 338 LM. The new B3 version has an additional 1.5 inch of clearance according to their website. Can someone with this setup kindly post a picture of your press with a round in it. I want to see how much clearance there is with the new B3 version.

The additional clearance on the B3 is between the handle yoke and the top of the die, allowing taller dies to be used (usually with big micrometer heads on them). The length of stroke is the same as earlier models, so the clearance to the case would be the same.

As already mentioned the travel of the B3 is not any greater. They just added a taller yoke which allows the use of other micrometer top dies that wouldn't fit before. I'll get a pic of a .338 in the earlier Co-Ax when I get to the house this evening.

Does anyone know when the B3 was released? I just ordered a co-ax off wideners and I hope its the B3, same part number as what forster lists for the current press. Has anyone else bought one from wideners? I didnt realize I had to make sure it was a B3 to be able to fit the micrometer 338LM dies.

It was sometime between 2003 and 2007.
