I posted in the bolt action rifles, maybe should have done it here, Any way, I am on the search for an old school mount for a Nightforce prism to install on the stock. For example in the image, I simply don't know the correct description to search for, unless they are all custom? Sources or suggestion? Thx

I have built quite a few of them but your best bet is to plan up front during the process of the rifle build and choose a platform that it is not necessary that way you can mount a pick rail wherever you want by Design

I would advise this also, I’m kind of married to/ in love with my McMillan stock at this point I’m going to keep running with it and put an EFR on it at some point but that’s based largely on it was the first rifle I ever owned, has grown with me and I’m hoping to make my first 2 mile impact with it. If I could go back I’d have sold the rifle and built from scratch something else, I’d be money ahead.

All that said for ELR I still prefer a stock style over a chassis so I’d be hard to recommend something else also

Yes, in a perfect world one plans, but a built rifle fell into my lap! New gain twist 10 to 7 barrel even. So I am wanting to retrofit. I like the simplicity of the Nightforce prism, and it is relatively affordable, relatively.

I do appreciate the help and I am now on the list to be notified when they come into stock.

Right! I still like wood stocks!? I would rather go shoot a rifle I have and modify to shoot, than throw money to the wind. Besides this thing is better than I could have ever dreamed

If you’re running a stock, you can get an extended rail that goes past the front of the scope. Being it would be one piece, there is less likely to have windage introduced into the system when mounting the prism

I have used both the Prism and the Charlie Tac on my 375ct in matches. The both work very good but I give the edge to the prism. The reason is with the Charlie Tac you do lose a little light transition. If its a bright sunny day you don't notice it but if it's overcast or early morning or late in the day you can see the difference. My Prism is set at 28.9 mils and is dead on. My Charlie I had reset to 60 mils and it is dead on as well. I have use both S&B 3x27 and Zcomp 5x27 with both of these and had the same results light transmission wise.

there is also these, I doubt they are very repeatable but gets you going.
