free float tube

Does anyone make one with a swivel stud already on? I'm not sure how to drill and tap for one... and it would be nice not to do that.

You can just drill a hole and then secure the stud with a washer and a nut on the inside. Put it right where you want it.

Depending on which tube you get, some mfg's make swivel kits for their tubes. Many of the tubes come pre-drilled/tapped for a screw-in stud...Armalite is one example (including offering accessory picatinny rails that attach at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock).

I have a Bushmaster V-Match upper with no swivel stud for the bi-pod. I plan on drilling and tapping the tube and just installing a stud. If the tube isn't thick enough i will just put a nut on the stud with some loctite to hold it in place
