Im thinking about getting a 6CM Bugnut and Greg said his 2 Creedmoor reamers are .120 & .190. I intend to run 110 SMKs, but Greg said not to paint myself into a corner setting it up for them as many of his customers had ended up going w/ 105gr hybrids or 115 DTACs. So if I plan to run 1 or more of 105 hyrbids, 107 SMK, 108 ELD-M, 110 SMK 115 DTAC all mag fed, which freebore should I go with?

    .150

0.190 No doubt. The old standard was a 0.110 FB. That would not even allow me to chamber factory Hornady ammo. I sent the rifle to Wade and had him cut the throat longer (he didn't originally build it). I have a 0.187 FB reamer and it is optimized for the 105 Hybrid. This information is from personally having rifles with both long and short FB's. The reason the VLD design works with shorter FB is due to bullet design having the ojive further back. If you want to run heavies, like the bullets you mention, which would be silly not to, DON'T GO 120.

110 SMKs at the lands are approximately
.100 longer OAL than a 105 hybrid at the lands
My .109 freebore puts 110s at 2.9 touching And
Hybrids at 2.8ish I’ve always run hybrids in it
And it hammers . My opinion is .120 planning on smks but if they don’t work it’ll be fine for hybrids...you can always make the freebore longer , can’t make it shorter.
The 190 would work well with 108 eldm and 115s
As they have a longer barring surface and shorter nose

Your choice of FB may depend on if you're going to chase the lands. The 6 Creed is probably going to erode 003 - .005" per hundred rounds. If you're at 2.9" COAL at the lands in a new chamber you have little to no room to chase the lands before you hit the front of the mag, even with the front plate removed. On top of that, I bet you 'll find the new SMK design to be very jump sensitive. The SAAMI reamers for the 6 and 6.5 Creeds have ridiculously long FBs to accommodate factory Hornady ammo which is extremely long in COAL. I would not set up a rifle that I was reloading for based on factory ammo.

Here is a 115 DTAC seated to the lands in a .120 FB. There is a sharpie mark just above the body/ boattail junction and a sharpie mark just below to help you see where the "break" between the body/ boattail junction is in the neck. The break is a little sliver of copper. This is the exact angle between the the body and the boattail.

This a 105 Hybrid seated at the lands. COAL is 2.805".

What do you think a .190 FB with 60 thou erosion would look like?

Listen to this man.. unless you plan on shooting factory ammo.
