Freedom Benchrest organizes monthly 600 yard and 1000 yard matches at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Central California, near the Sierra foothills. I was invited to observe this month's CA long range match and film the competitors. At the end of the 2nd match there was still 5-6 minutes left. I was invited to shoot Louie's custom-built rifle at his bench. I'd rung steel from 1000yrds a handful of times at Media Range Day during SHOT Show but had never attempted to get my shots into a 3" bullseye. It was an exhilarating experience.
