I currently have a bergara premier in 300wm and I put it in a AG composite stock . It’s a good 1/2-3/4 moa gun but with a 26” barrel and gen 3 razor it’s ridiculously heavy . I saw where I could buy a barreled defiance action for a reasonable price , and was wondering if I threw that into a AG stock would I have to get it bedded or sent to a gunsmith to make it work ?

What do you mean to make it work? You could just put the action into the stock and go shoot it…and if you’re not happy with the groups you could bed it. Or bed it to begin with. Idk if it’s going to weight less then your current set up… I recommend getting a lighter scope lol

You might get more help if you mention what sort of capabilities you're looking for, what sort of shooting you do, if you compete which types of matches do you enjoy, if you hunt how far and how high are you hiking on an average day etc.

I think a lot of folks are going to see "300wm" and make assumptions that you should be adding weight, not removing it.
