Good evening gents,
I too have visited this site and am a new member. I came over a few times looking through the suppressor section on the forums. I found the site again through another great forum (Savage Shooters) as well as a discussion on 8451 Tactical. I came over this time as I was seeking some mag options on my Savage 11 build. I sent a B&C Tac Medalist to CDI and came across some excellent posts. I am a former Marine and current LEO here in west Texas. I have been on an entry team and am gearing up to transition over to the precision rifle element so I am also looking to expand my professional knowledge. We have great facilities and tons of public around for shooting and hunting. I shoot trap and skeet probably more than anything else when it comes to recreational shooting. I'm looking forward to learning in several areas here including reloading 308 for some long yardage. My current build (aren't they all always in progress) is a Savage 11 w the aforementioned stock. I am really interested in Rangers very well done post on working on that thing in the DIY section especially the adjustable comb. I am using a not so great scope in the PA FFP 16x mil-dot. Yes I know it's not a SB/NF etc but it gets me working until I can drop coin on either the Vortex Viper PST or the Bushnell Elite but it's a good entry level optic that let's me practice. It's on an egw base and the rifle is printing 1/3" groups at 100 with Federal Gold Medal Match topped with 168gr Smks so I'm happy. I look forward to being here and I have a lot to learn.
Best regards,
Matt
