I hate to let it go, but I sold the action and dont need the barrel laying around. It's a 24" med palma bart 7.5tw 5r .237 bore, threaded 5/8-24 muzzle. It was spun up by Jay cutright, from marshall, il, in his wildcat 243 cutright. He used that cartridge to win a bunch of 600 & 1000ibs trophies and f open.
It's based on a 243win case, shoulder is bumped back .050 for longer nk, then fireformed. Fireforming blows body taper out to mimic 6br and shoulders are 37°. With the case capacity h4831sc or h1000 is perfect, slower burn yields better barrel life. I have a good fireform load that runs 3025 and shoots sub half moa. The 243 cutright load is running 3090 with a 105hybrid and does ragged holes when I have my head on my shoulders.
I also have a set of hornady custom dies for this caliber. Fl sizer, seater that has alignment sleeve shoulder turned to match 37° case, and bump gage. Those dies and 50 pieces win brass ready to fireform and 50 cases already fireformed will be included.
2 rds at 620 yds, verifying drop. It got dark quick so I only shot 2rds
100yd. Soupy day, 47.5 was shot in some nasty mirage off barrel, definitely shows some target smear. I settled on the 47.0gr load, not bad from a cold clean bore and cold shooter. I attribute the first rd to me, was shooting prone with bipod and beanbag on gravel.
975yd, circled is 243cutright. Was using a friends omega with no mirage cover. 4 shots outside the circle were from a tired 243ai.
Round count is just at 85rds
I'd do paypal f&f, or g&s if you cover the 3.5%. 650 for all of it shipped, if you got some trades feel free to offer them. Really just looking for small shank savage prefits, but I'll consider other stuff.
