SOLD!
ETA: “Ding” photos plus others added below. Taken within the last 20 minutes.
So… as much as I absolutely LOVE my Big Ass Swaro BTX spotters, I get extremely little use out of them. Watching flies on IPSC plates at 1km is kinda cool, and being able to watch the actual projectile fly through the air is pretty special, but these guys are BIG, relative to a nice set of LRF spotting binos that fit neatly into your kit. Life’s full of trade-offs, I suppose.
Anywho, I’ll take more pix later, but I have one BTX eyepiece, the two objectives (95mm and 115mm), the 1.7x teleconverter, all items with Swaro Fitted Armor, and all original Swaro factory boxes for everything.
The 115mm took a spill on a tripod and dinged the front bell a smidge, but there was no damage and it got a clean bill of health from Swaro when I sent it in as a precaution.
Glass is pristine on everything, and all functions as it should.
These photos were taken by me through the right ocular on the BTX, handheld with my iPhone (Swaro on a tripod, of course). First is without the 1.7x TC, second is with the TC installed:
A couple of older photos of mine, shortly after I got the 115mm, comparing the two objectives.
Yeah… these are the absolute best spotters ever created by man. I’m eternally spoiled by the glass on these behemoths, and always slightly disappointed when looking through something inferior. The BTX eyepiece is just epic, and you’ll never want to use anything else. But lack of a reticle and LRF makes them less than ideal for gun fun, but DAMN! if you use them for anything else, you’ll never go back. Watching a pinecone with a wasp on it take up your entire FOV at 100+ yards, with color and sharpness that will make your eyes bleed, and a Bokeh that is so creamy and makes the subject POP is just something that has to be experienced. I have some buddies here who have looked through these, and they always walk away leaving a snail trail of saliva behind.
They’re pricey, for sure, but the regret of paying more fades quickly, while no one ever regreted buying the absolute best of anything.
The 95mm is perfect and the 115mm has the bell “ding” I mentioned earlier, so I’ll price them the same, assuming most interested buyers won’t want both objectives.
If you want BOTH 95/115mm Objectives, the BTX eyepiece, and ALL the fixin’s — 1.7x TC, Armor, etc — you can have it all for $4850 shipped (CONUS).
If you want just ONE objective, BTX, TC, Armor, $3600 shipped.
I will also sell the remaining objective AFTER the BTX/whatever is sold for $1350 shipped.
I’ll update with current photos of everything within the next 24-ish hours (my life is filled with squirrel distractions).
