Twice now you guys got people who paid to sell on here (they pay $20) banned and the next wrong alert is getting YOU Banned

I appreciate trying to help, but if you don't understand how the system works, mind your own business.

Guys with a low post count can sign up for a new member sales account, which gives them permission to post in the PX.

ROFL, that's like expecting cops to understand the Constitution and to not enforce illegal policy. It makes too much sense for it to be enacted.

Paid accounts should say New Member for sale section

Another clue is, low post count, the system is set up to block anyone not allowed to sell you cannot skirt the rules without waiting, paying or posting

Ok, dumb question here. If the system won't let someone with a low post count post ads in the sale section in the first place unless they pay the fee, why would a mod ban anyone based on someone else complaining to them that a new guy with a low post count is trying to sell something?

Guys claimed the ads had fake images and some other sketchy stuff like a weird money order request.

Not sure what the deal is, after one guy was banned it was claimed the IP was from Africa, but he emailed me a picture of his driver license. I can't really see a scammer from Lagos sending me an email to show a driver license but anything is possible. He copped an attitude over it, so I refunded him and kept the ban in place.

You never know and better safe than sorry in some cases, I suppose a scammer could pay $20 in hopes of making $2k, but a few things did not add up according to the complaints forwarded.

Yesterday I had several Scammer alerts from members, but it appears to be just one or two members crying foul.

The FS section is buyer beware, something flagged however it is possible to post with a low post count if you paid $20

Erud, and others. ^^^^ is the key. The Mods will error on safety first. Can't Blame them, but HMFIC has to play goalie and clean up. Just everyone being on edge about fraud, not necessarily a bad thing.
