Wow, rarely seen someone go to that far an extreme using natural vegetation. Looks like they are in a heavily vegetated area but he still got caught.

This same photo appears in <span style="font-style: italic">Gallipoli Sniper</span>, John Hamilton's biography of famed Aussie sniper Billy Sing (thanks tikkat). The caption states,in part "Charles Bean dismissed this picture as being a fake taken on island of Imbros, claiming that the Australians were from a field battery and that the Turk was a prisoner dressed up for the occasion". Charles Bean was the author of <span style="font-style: italic">The Story of ANZAC</span>.
