Just got my email for a slot from the wait list after about a month.

Has anyone shot this previously or is anyone shooting it in a couple weeks with me?

The Gamut Challenge is a two-day event consisting of over 20 miles of running or rucking, incorporating 16 different shooting scenarios with a variety of shooting positions.

Within these events you will have to navigate through obstacles, shoot from moving vehicles, shoot and move with both carbine and pistol, perform one man Close Quarter Battle (CQB) and engage multiple targets.

How was it, I was thinking about doing the one in November?
Craaazy awesome
28 miles in 2 days
45lb ruck dry
Day 1 we did a 5k between 2 stages of the ruck
Most of the shooting stages were pretty simple with 1 or 2 being complex
The obstacle course was challenging but not impossible
They throw more weight at you from time to time

10/10

Sweet, I guess I need to start putting more weight in my ruck.
Any training tips?
Start lower weight and slowly work up to 50ish on the ruck. Don't just walk, you need to be able to move well with the weight and run.

Need very good BROKE IN boots
I love my salomon forces

Need a good ruck with good waist support. My go to is mystery ranch.

Get a good padded sling

Run a chest rig and not a battle belt

Practice ready ups and very fast cqb style shooting.

Practice rope climbs

Ok, I for sure need a better pack. I was thinking about getting a hill people aston but it sounds like I may want something with an external frame. What mystery ranch packs do you like?

I've used the old and new SATLs and love them. Get the new generation with the hip pads for sure.
