Okay, I'm not a child but the more I try to find answers, the more confused I get. I'm looking at the new Sig Kilo6K LRF binos. I'd like to have some manner of getting my DOPE on a watch. I'd prefer someothing that can be worn everyday and not something that looks like an arm board so the Instinct looks like a good candidate. I can live with getting one target at a time as I'm not a competition kinda guy.

But what exactly do I need? How do the watch, my phone and the binos interact? What app will I need to pay for to unlock ranges beyond 800 yards?

Specifically, can I get an app on my phone, enter my gun data and bluetooth it to the watch? Once it is in there, will ranging a target with the binos show my range and drop?

No, you need to pay the subscription to get data to work on the instinct.

If you have a BT capable kestrel you can definitely connect to the watch.

Okay... I think I read on another thread that the cost is about $300. How does that subscription make it to the watch? Is it through an app on my phone that is then paired with the watch?
Just to be clear, it is not a subscription. You are purchasing the app. You download it to your watch through the Garmin express app on your PC or through the Garmin store connecting to your phone.

Yeah that’s about it for the full unlock. And yes, i meant a subscription as in purchase to use, not a reoccurring payment.

Kind of a shit deal if you already have a kestrel elite imo.

It’s https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ab-synapse-garmin/id1545246660 if you have apple

Okay, so a follow-on question. First of all, the binos are the new Kilo6K HDX gen2 if that matters. Is there any manner of getting the full AB solutions by use of a phone app or do I need to get a Garmin or Kestral device? I read in another thread that with a Kestral, you can get the firing solutions to show in the bino display but can that be done with the AB app on the phone?
