My local range has awkwardly T-shaped concrete benches. I have harris bipods, sand bags, rear bags, caldwell rest, lightweight rest/tripod. I still haven't found the magic combination. I'm temped to try one of the large backpack size bags, or even heck, a filled backpack. I've also been told I can use the bipod but put the legs on rubber matting to help with bouncing. What works for you?
The bench is very short front to rear at the cut outs. Maybe I should try sitting at the back and behind the rifle as opposed to sitting next to it sideways in the cut out?
Here's a pic I took of my set up.
