whatever height the atlas PSR is...what ive been running for a couple years now...if the match is on fairly level ground/props its fine...for a rugged field match with high angle (up) shots or barriers/vegetation in the way of prone, sometimes its hard to get it high enough in front...thats where a good tripod comes in handy

Have run 6-9" for many years and use it about mid range between the two. Only rime I would go higher was if it was a more angle fire match where I might need more height shooting up or down a hill and I have a 9-13" for that.

I use a Harris 6-9" but Primary Adaptive System has extensions sold through SAP that could make it longer if need be:

I use an atlas psr. I also have the 3" leg extensions if I need them and it's perfect. I haven't maxed it out for height at a match yet
