Based on some of the pics that Ive posted on my last ghillie build, I get PMs on a regular basis about building them.
So my inbox stays relatively clear:
I cant recommend SierraWhiskey enough.
Building a ghillie is a lot more work than people realize. SW does amazing work. And, he does anything custom that you want done. Name it, and he can build it for you.
He's been building suits since he was a sniper in the USMC, so he knows what he is doing.
His prices are more than reasonable. When you figure the cost of all the materials to build one CORRECTLY, you might as well just have SW do it. Frankly, when I built my last one, and totalled up the cost - including my time, it would have been cheaper to have him build it. (that doesnt even include the cost of having Heidi bitching at me about all the jute and burlap leftovers floating around the living room)
Materials? He has access to materials that are a pain in the ass to find.(Netting, most specifically. SW can get stuff that I couldnt think about getting. Much better than a volleyball net or hammmock.)
Tips? Ask him. The effective way of doing it, most of my recent intel came from SW. Amazing Goop. SW. Yoga mats. SW.
And, before I get asked - no, this is unsolicited. SW is probably gonna get pissed at me for adding to his workload.
