To all Ghurkas/Nepales guards I have met/encountered in Afghanistan:
It is my great honor to offer my most sincere and grateful thanks for your service and humble attitude while working in places like KAF, etc.
I have no idea WHY I thought of you just now... But honor where honor is due. Thank you for protecting me.
At the time, you provided security and gate guard for me/us. I walked/drove past you dozens/hundreds of times, AND WITHOUT FAIL, you honored us with a cheerful, "Have a nice day, sir!" with a smile and often a hand salute. I wish to honor you and your kind. Please accept this poor/late effort.
Looking back, I wish I had taken time to get to know you.. instead of rushing off to eat...
