GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

My Advantage Arms kit runs great with Remington Golden bullets. I played with a TacSol conversion for a few days and it ran very well also. The AA kit is on the G19 in the middle of this pic:

I wouldn't give Ceiner a dime of my money if he was selling pills for a nickle that made my cock taste like chocolate.

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

DO NOT buy a Ceiner Kit! I have one that only shoots 1/3 of the time. I've called Ceiner 4 times and left messages and received no return calls. I even made it very clear I was willing to pay whatever I needed to to get it working. He makes it very clear on his message system he doesnt give a shit... STAY AWAY!!
Even found this-

Since I was running a G19/23 kit I ordered a spare barrel for the G17/22 kit and had it threaded. After I'd done that my smith told me that he could have threaded the regular barrel and made me an adapter to fit between the barrel and suppressor.

If you're running a G19/23 or G26/27 kit I still have the original G19/23 kit barrel that I'd sell if you want it.

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

Back when I had a Glock Model 21 I had an Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kit for it. I always shot Remington BULK Hollow Points and never had an issue with it. A couple of shooting buddies that have Glocks bought Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kits for their Glocks after shooting mine. One of my buddies shoots several bricks of Remington .22 LR Ammo through his Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kit every year before our yearly qualification, and it has greatly improved his shooting.

My new Glock Model 26 9mm Sub Compact should be arriving later this week. As soon as I recover from buying it I plan on ordering an Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kit for it as well.

I have not tried any of the other .22 LR Conversion Kits for Glocks but can highly recommend the Advantage Arms Kits.

Larry

PS on the Advantage Arms .22 LR Conversion Kits they use Glock Factory Sights, except on the Target Versions.

G17. Spare extended-length AA barrel you had threaded or aftermarket?

I had an AA extended barrel threaded but I'm told you could have a standard length threaded and use an adapter to get a suppressor mounted up.

Advantage Arms sells threaded barrels for their kits. I just saw for $130 on their website you can buy an already threaded barrel. Guess I am going to have to pick one up for my Glock 21 conversion.

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

I had a Advantage Arms kit, for a Glock 34.
It would run sometimes flawlessly. but, Then it got to where it would not extract a round, like 1 out of every 3. Then it got to where it would not extract at all.
So, I polished the chamber. This helped some. So, Then i put a heavy extractor spring in it. This help for a while.
I even got more mags, to see if that would help!
But....It got to where I was pulling spent brass more than I was shooting the gun.

I don't know if I had a bad kit or what. But, I will never get another kit from them.

Luckly..the store I got the kit and 8 Mags from, gave my money back!

That's my experience

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

My Jonathan Arthur Ciener conversion runs well. I purchased it from him FTF. I paid for an Extra Mag and it showed in the mail When he said it would. I would buy another Jonathan Arthur Ciener conversion Kit.

I got a M-16 .22 kit from J. A. Ciener, at Knob Creek. Also 2 extra mags (spring 1997).
The kit did not run well.
I took it back, the next Knob Creek(fall 1997). HE and I took it to the range, and he got it running like a top.

Now..He and I talk evey time I see him. He is DIFFERENT, mayb ECCENTIC!
but, he has been good to me, and thats all I have to go on.

BTW....He was the one that started the .22 cal. conversion. and most other are built off his patents.

+1

If I cant find one, I am leaning towards the Tac Sol kit that Midway has in stock.

If anyone has experience with a Tac Sol conversion, I would be interested in your opinion of it.

Re: GLOCK .22 conversion unit?

I recently picked up a tacsol kit from midwest hunters outlet with threaded barrel for my sparrow. It runs great well lubed, and it seems prudent to keep it very clean considering the lead, carbon double wammy from the 22lr ammo and suppressor. The 15 rnd mags beat AA's 10 rnd anyday. As far as I know they are not compatible. I've fed it a few hundred rnds of remington thunderbolt and Fed gold bulk packs with maybe one or two failures to fire every 100 rnds....
