Which holster for a G34 do you recommend? and yes I will be using this to shoot competitively. Perhaps any other accessories that will help?

    Thanks for any advice given,

    Re: glock 34

I use several kydex holsters for my 9mm Glocks. Some are Comptac and a Bladetech. Both work well. The holsters have open bottoms so the longer barrel of the 34 pokes through.

Just have to be carefull of sitting down or anything that might hit the end of the pistol and push it out of the holster. I'm just shooting the 34 in matches as well. Though seatbelt buckles and armrests come to mind.

For magazine carriers I use the Comptac single and double mag carrier. They are adjustable for the amount of grip you want to secure the mags until pulled. And they can be used without a belt since the just slip in your waist like a paddle holster does.

    Hope this helps.

I have a fobus from my glock, gotta say I'm thoroughly dissappointed, every night before a match i literaly place the glock in a sock then into the holster in an attempt to get the damn thing to loosen its death grip on my weapon. i even heated the plastic on the inside with a lighter then slid the pistol in a few times to half ass "re shape" the interior with minimal sucess, last fobus ill buy

Another BladeTech fan here, but I'd suggest getting the correct G34/35 version rather than making due with the G17/22/31 or G19/23/32 versions. The pistol will stay put alot better in the correct holster.

Take that as a "no sh*t for sure" too, flying Glocks are not a pretty picture. They are certainly unsafe and sure as hell will result in a DQ. And, Cut is right...It ain't as hard as it might seem for that to happen, especially off the range.

And, BTW, this coming from a fan of leather beltslide holsters...For compact pistols such as the G19/23/32, Sig P228 and Commander that is. Not longer, 5+" barrel/slide pistols.

Oh, and BladeTech mag pouches too!

What kind of competition are you going to be shooting? IPSC, IDPA, 3Gun?

I used Uncle Mikes kydex for my Glocks in IPSC for several years. Eventually I switched to a CR Speed comp holster and use the same now with my STI.
