Should a person installing a Bartlien pre fit bbl. in a Terminus Zeus action check it with a go/no gauge? Or are the prefits good to go.

I would think that "any" new barrel-action-combination deserves a Go / No-Go safety check. Worst case, it's "Belt & Suspenders" cheap insurance. Best case, you avoid a catastrophe. I recently put a McGowan pre-fit onto my MPA 300-WM action. Go / No-Go worked as advertised. Did I waste that time and money? Methinks not. IMHO

OK, If I'm reading steel head right, put a piece of tape on the backside of a cartridge and try closing the bolt, if the bolt does not close its a no/go correct?

You have to check but the common clear or light brown tape is .002.

Many no go’s are +.006 from a go gauge so three layers.

I would not order anything from PTG. Been there and done that with go/no-go gauges. I'd get em from Manson
Had a similar experience with PTG, luckily not too costly for me. Had a friend who finally threatened small claims before he got a refund on an item they took his money for and never produced. If you find a third party that has PTG on the shelf and can buy from them, their products are good enough quality. I’d just rather hop on the phone and call Manson and get what I need with no worries.

My gauges were a little out of spec and caused me some trouble, beyond ordering them and then finding out weeks later they didn't have them, and then them finally arriving months later.
